Studied Egyptology and History at the University of Vienna: Magister 1996; PhD 2003.
Academic positions: Austrian Academy of Sciences (1996-2003 and 2009; Special research area "The Synchronisation of Civilisations in the Eastern Mediterranean in the Second Millennium BC"), FU Berlin (2003-2008), and Deutsches Archäologisches Institut, Cairo (2010-2013); director of the survey project "Regional survey around Tell el-Fara'in (Buto)" in the Egyptian Nile delta (2010-2015).
Since August 2015 part of the research staff of Prof. Dr. Karen Radner.
